After debating on and writing articles on various gender issues, I’ve realized that in the greater scheme of things, men and women are more alike than different—that only we can put an end to the glass ceilings that keep us from moving up together. Having worked closely with our school’s Women’s Center for Development and having been able to organize a gender sensitivity workshop for young men with a local NGO, GWAVE, I’ve realized that empowering women is one of our strongest solutions towards other problems like poverty, hunger, and education. I’ve also served as the Editor-in-Chief of Nature Bulletin, an initiative of our school’s Student Government to spark students' interest in environmental and biodiversity issues. Apart from that, I served as the youth coordinator for a World Bank funded research on active citizenship.
