I am from Colombia, South America, and I am passionate about how we (you and me) can achieve positive social impact, no matter what our age, interests or careers. I work as a management consultant, with 15 projects completed so far for organizations in the public, private, and international cooperation sectors in Colombia. I also direct RGOS (Social Opportunites Generating Network in Spanish), an NGO that brings education and technology access to the poor using public schools’ computer labs. Additionally, I volunteer for The Youth Factor, an U.S.-based NGO that advances youth empowerment globally by forging strategic partnerships to achieve greater outcomes for youths and communities. I was honored by the World Bank, the Cities Alliance, and the Government of Norway, as the Third Prize Winner of the 2008 International Essay Competition on “What can you do to shape the city of your dreams?” I was also selected as Colombia’s best Business Administration student by Portafolio, a nation-wide economics and management newspaper. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Los Andes University.
